Baked Tilapia with Lemon and Broccoli

Ingredients
  

Protein
  • 4 pieces Tilapia Fillets (about 6 oz each) The star of the dish, mild white fish.
Vegetables
  • 1 large head Broccoli Cut into bite-sized florets.
Oils & Condiments
  • 0.25 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil Used for coating fish and broccoli.
  • 4 cloves Garlic Minced or grated.
  • 2 Lemons One sliced for baking, one for juice.
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano Adds Mediterranean flavor.
  • 0.25 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes Optional, for heat.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Seasoning for fish and broccoli.
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper Freshly ground.

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Toss broccoli with 2 tbsp olive oil, half of garlic, half of salt, and half of black pepper. Spread on one side of the sheet.
  3. Pat tilapia dry, place in bowl with remaining olive oil, garlic, oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Rub seasonings onto fish.
  4. Arrange tilapia on the sheet next to broccoli. Top fish with lemon slices. Bake for 15-20 minutes until fish flakes and broccoli is tender and crispy.
  5. Remove from oven, squeeze fresh lemon juice over fish and broccoli. Serve immediately.

Notes

Ensure fish is fully cooked and flakes easily before serving.
