Method
- Preheat oven to 350F/180C. Grease a 9x13 pan.
- Boil green beans for 2-3 minutes, then drain.
- Sauté onions and mushrooms in oil for 3-5 minutes, add garlic and cook 1-2 minutes.
- Add soup, buttermilk, and broth; cook 5-8 minutes until heated.
- Mix in green beans, cheese, and ¾ cup fried onions. Transfer to pan.
- Bake uncovered 30-35 minutes, then top with remaining fried onions and bake 10 more minutes.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of fresh parsley before serving.
