Method
- Roll out dough to 1/4 inch thick and cut into 4x6 inch rectangles.
- Mix ricotta, powdered sugar, vanilla, and egg; place filling on half of each rectangle, add chocolate, then fold and seal edges.
- Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) and fry pastries until golden, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Drain on paper towels and dust with confectioners' sugar before serving.
Notes
Ensure oil is at proper temperature before frying to prevent sogginess.
