Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix softened butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Add egg, vanilla, and peppermint extracts; mix well. Stir in dry ingredients and crushed candy canes.
- Shape dough into balls, roll in sugar, and place on baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden. Cool before serving.
Notes
For best results, do not overbake to keep cookies soft and chewy.
