Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 3 cups cooked whole wheat rotini pasta
Vegetables
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
Dairy
  • 1 cup ciliegine mozzarella
Herbs and Oils
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3/4 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Salt
  • pinch salt

Method
 

  1. Place cooked pasta in a large bowl.
  2. Add halved cherry tomatoes and mozzarella; toss gently.
  3. Chiffonade basil and add to the mixture.
  4. Whisk olive oil, dried herbs, pepper, and salt to make dressing.
  5. Pour dressing over pasta and toss to coat.
  6. Serve immediately or refrigerate.

Notes

Use fresh basil for best flavor.
