Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix softened butter, sugars, egg, and vanilla until fluffy.
- Whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add to wet mixture.
- Shape dough into balls, roll in extra sugar, and place on baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden. Cool on wire rack.
Notes
For extra chewy cookies, slightly underbake and let them cool on the baking sheet.
