Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Ingredients
  

Dry ingredients
  • 1 ⅓ cups all-purpose flour 180g
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
Wet ingredients
  • 1/2 cup melted unsalted butter 110g
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 ½ cups mashed ripe bananas about 3-4 bananas
  • 1/2 cup greek yogurt or sour cream
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips plus extra for sprinkling

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease a loaf pan and line with parchment.
  2. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. In another, beat butter and sugars, then add bananas, yogurt, eggs, and vanilla.
  3. Combine wet and dry mixtures, then fold in chocolate chips. Pour into pan and sprinkle extra chips on top.
  4. Bake for 65-75 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pan for 45 minutes, then invert and slice.

Notes

Use ripe bananas for best flavor and sweetness.
