- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix melted butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and mashed bananas in a large bowl.
- Combine dry ingredients and add to wet mixture; stir until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips, then divide batter into 12 muffin liners.
- Top with extra chocolate chips and bake for 17-19 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool muffins on a wire rack before serving.
