Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Beat in eggs and vanilla extract. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt separately.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet mixture. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls onto baking sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden.
- Cool cookies briefly on sheets, then transfer to wire racks.
Notes
For softer cookies, slightly underbake and let sit for a few minutes.
