Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (for filling)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add egg yolk and vanilla; mix well.
  4. Mix in dry ingredients until a soft dough forms.
  5. Shape into balls, place on sheet, indent centers, fill with chocolate chips, and bake 10-12 minutes.

Notes

Ensure not to overbake for soft, gooey centers.
