Ingredients
  

Wet ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dry ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup heart-shaped chocolate candies or melting chocolate
Optional toppings
  • Sprinkles Sprinkles (optional)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch pan.
  2. Melt butter, then mix in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  3. Whisk together dry ingredients and combine with wet mixture.
  4. Pour batter into pan, bake for 25-30 mins, then cool.
  5. Cut into heart shapes, dip in melted chocolate, add sprinkles, and let set.

Notes

Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter for perfect shapes.
