Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment.
- Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Cream butter and sugar, add molasses, egg, vanilla. Combine with dry ingredients to form dough.
- Roll out dough, cut shapes, and place on sheets. Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are firm.
- Cool cookies on wire rack. Decorate as desired and serve.
Notes
Chill dough if too sticky, and use cookie cutters for fun shapes.
