Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet.
- Mix dry ingredients in a bowl; cream butter and sugars, then add egg and vanilla.
- Combine dry and wet mixtures; fold in chocolate chips.
- Scoop dough onto baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes; cool on sheet 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.
Notes
For softer cookies, slightly underbake and let cool on the baking sheet.
