Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Blanch green beans in salted water for 3–4 minutes, then cool in ice water.
- Sauté onions and mushrooms in butter until soft. Stir in flour, then gradually whisk in milk until smooth.
- Combine sauce with green beans in a baking dish. Top with crispy fried onions.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a dash of garlic powder or cheese to the sauce.
