Ingredients
  

Marinade
  • 3 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 cup Maggi seasoning soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup mirin rice grape juice
  • 1 apple, diced
  • 1 head garlic, minced
  • 2 onions, chopped
Meat
  • 4 lb beef shoulder
Garnish
  • 2 stems green onions, chopped
Other
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Dash of black pepper

Method
 

  1. Cut your meat of choice into cubes.
  2. Prepare marinate: pulse garlic, dice apple, green onion and onion. Put all marinate ingredients in a ziploc bag.
  3. Marinate at least 2-3 hours or overnight. Mix marinate around and then put your meat inside ziploc.
  4. Skew the cube meat on a stick to prep for grilling.
  5. Set up your grill and grill each side for about 3-4 minutes. Grill onions as well.

Notes

Marinating the pork shoulder overnight will result in a more flavorful and tender dish.
