  • 1 3/4 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
Wet Ingredients
  • 3 ripe bananas mashed bananas about 1 1/2 cups mashed
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs large eggs
Additional
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce for moisture

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, combine dry ingredients: flour and baking soda.
  3. In another bowl, mash bananas and mix with honey, vanilla, eggs, and applesauce.
  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and bake for 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a handful of chopped nuts or chocolate chips.
