  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 0.5 cup maple syrup

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch pan.
  2. Mix melted butter and sugar until combined. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
  3. Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Add dry ingredients to wet, mix until just combined.
  4. Stir in walnuts and maple syrup. Pour batter into pan and spread evenly.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Cool before cutting into squares.
