  • 2 cups Monterey Jack cheese shredded
  • 16 ounces ground beef
  • 1/2 medium onion sliced
  • 1 bell pepper sliced
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add ground beef and break it apart with a spatula.
  4. Add sliced onions and bell peppers once beef begins to brown.
  5. Cook until beef is browned and vegetables are softened (5-7 minutes).
  6. Drain excess grease.
  7. Return the skillet to medium heat.
  8. Add Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper; stir to combine.
  9. Add cream cheese and stir until melted and incorporated.
  10. Remove from heat and set aside.
  11. Create 8 cheese circles on the baking sheet (1/4 cup per circle).
  12. Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are golden brown.
  13. Let cheese circles cool for 1 minute.
  14. Place 2 tablespoons of beef mixture onto each cheese circle.
  15. Roll or fold the cheese around the filling.
  16. Allow to cool for 2-3 minutes to set the shape.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the beef mixture.
