Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 ripe bananas mashed bananas about 1 ½ cups
  • ½ cup sour cream or plain yogurt
Optional Nuts
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a 9-inch round pan.
  2. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Beat butter and sugar until fluffy, then add eggs and vanilla.
  3. Stir in mashed bananas and sour cream. Gently fold in nuts if using.
  4. Pour batter into pan and bake for 50-60 minutes. Cool before serving.

Ensure not to overmix the batter for a light texture.
