Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup raspberry jam
For Dusting
  • confectioners' sugar for dusting confectioners' sugar

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Mix dry ingredients; cream butter with vanilla. Combine all to form dough.
  3. Roll out dough, cut shapes, and cut smaller centers for tops.
  4. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden. Cool.
  5. Spread jam on solid cookies, top with cut-outs, and dust with powdered sugar.

Notes

Chill the dough if it becomes too soft for easier handling.
