Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Cream butter and sugars, then add eggs and vanilla.
- Mix in flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir in oats and chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls onto baking sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Cool cookies on sheets briefly, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
For softer cookies, bake for the shorter time; for crunchier, bake a bit longer.
