Ingredients
  

Butter
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
Sugars
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
Eggs and vanilla
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dry ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Oats and Chips
  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream butter and sugars, then add eggs and vanilla.
  3. Mix in dry ingredients, oats, and chocolate chips.
  4. Drop dough onto baking sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  5. Cool cookies before serving.

Notes

For softer cookies, slightly underbake and let cool on sheets.
