old fashioned banana bread

Ingredients
  

dry ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
wet ingredients
  • 3 ripe bananas mashed bananas about 1 1/2 cups mashed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 large eggs eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, and baking soda.
  3. In another bowl, mix mashed bananas, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla.
  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a handful of chopped nuts or chocolate chips.
