  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 14 oz kielbasa beef sausage sliced into ½ inch pieces
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz penne pasta or your choice of short pasta
  • 0.75 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • to taste Salt and black pepper
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)
  • red pepper flakes Optional: for heat

Method
 

  1. Heat oil in a pot over medium heat. Add kielbasa and cook until browned.
  2. Add garlic and onions and sauté until fragrant and translucent.
  3. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir and bring to a boil.
  4. Add uncooked pasta. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer until pasta is al dente.
  5. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Season with paprika, salt, and pepper.
  6. Let rest to thicken. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Add a splash of white wine for extra flavor.
