  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 10.5 oz cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil optional for searing
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese optional
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Method
 

  1. Sear chicken breasts until golden brown (optional).
  2. Combine soup, ranch seasoning, broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper in the crockpot.
  3. Place chicken in crockpot and coat with sauce.
  4. Cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Shred chicken and stir into sauce.
  6. Stir in sour cream. Garnish with cheese and parsley, if desired.

Notes

For a thicker sauce, mix a tablespoon of cornstarch with two tablespoons of cold water and stir into the crockpot during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
