Method
- Add the olive oil to the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Layer in the chopped cabbage, baby potatoes, sliced beef sausage, and onions.
- Sprinkle the garlic, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes over the top.
- Pour the chicken broth evenly over all the ingredients.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6-7 hours or on HIGH for 3-4 hours, until the potatoes and cabbage are tender.
- Stir gently before serving and garnish with chopped parsley.
Notes
For a vegetarian option, omit the sausage and add a can of drained and rinsed cannellini beans.
